Call FOR PROPOSAL Format Descriptions

The West Africa Border and Homeland Security Tech Expo, BHSTECH EXPO 2025, invites you to submit your proposals for Oral and Poster presentations, as well as Symposiums, Forums, and Workshops. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and innovative ideas in the field of border and homeland security technology. By participating, you will not only contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this critical area but also engage with industry leaders and fellow professionals. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this pivotal event that aims to foster collaboration and drive progress in security solutions across West Africa.

1. Oral presentation: Each presenter will deliver a 20-minute individual presentation, which includes a 15-minute talk followed by a 3-minute question and answer session, with an additional 2 minutes allocated for transitions between speakers. It is essential for all presenters to be either paid delegates or exhibitors, ensuring that the event maintains a high standard of professionalism and engagement. This structure not only allows for a comprehensive exploration of topics but also encourages interaction and dialogue, enriching the overall experience for both presenters and attendees.

2. Poster presentation: This visual display serves as a compelling showcase of your work for those attending the BHSTECH EXPO 2025 conference. The main author must be a delegate or exhibitor. This requirement not only ensures that the work is presented by someone actively engaged in the event but also enhances the overall quality and credibility of the presentation.

3. Symposium: A structured and formal session will feature 5 to 6 presentations centered on a specific topic or theme, with each individual presentation capped at 15 minutes. The session will be guided by a moderator who will introduce each presenter and facilitate a question-and-answer segment at the conclusion of the presentations. Each session is designed to last no longer than 2 hours. To ensure a cohesive experience, abstracts from all presenters must be submitted along with a detailed agenda for the session. It is important to note that all presenters are required to be registered delegates or exhibitors.

4. Forum: A forum offers a dynamic and engaging alternative to traditional presentations, allowing for a more relaxed and interactive atmosphere. This format can take various shapes, such as panel discussions, roundtable conversations, or other structured approaches that incorporate a range of innovative facilitation techniques. The role of the moderator or facilitator is crucial, as they steer both the presenters and the audience through a series of participatory activities designed to foster meaningful dialogue. Each session is typically scheduled for 1 to 2 hours, ensuring that at least 20 to 30 minutes are dedicated to active audience involvement, which goes beyond mere question-and-answer exchanges. It is important to note that all presenters, facilitators, and moderators must be delegate or exhibitor.

5. Workshop: Organizations, security professionals, or key stakeholders are encouraged to present proposals for conducting workshops either prior to or after the conference. The responsibility for organizing and facilitating all elements of these training sessions or workshops lies with the host organization(s). It is important to note that BHSTECH EXPO 2025 will provide only limited logistical support for these events.
